The story of AntarDhvani so far can easily be divided in three parts, Hansraj College days, the Building Phase and coming together as Working Professionals.
Hansraj Colleges famous Lovers Point (popularly known as LP) is the place where Mukesh (Munnu) and Sumeet, two of the three founder members of Antardhvani came together, though at that time, none of them knew as to how their musical association will shape up with time. The team at that time also included Probuddha (PB) a multi talented musician who could sing, play guitar and flute and Suryajit (Surya) who played guitar. This group participated and won in many inter college music festivals during 2001 to 2005. However, as the college term came to an end, members moved on in life to fulfill different responsibilities. In 2006, while PB and Surya went abroad for work and higher studies respectively, Munnu joined work and also enrolled in Law faculty, whereas Sumeet moved out of Delhi for pursuing MBA.
During this tumultuous period, Munnu kept the fire alive and teamed up with some class fellows who also happened to be talented musicians. This group had, other than Munnu, Bimal Da, an ace guitarist and the oldest member who was perhaps the youngest at heart, Nishant, a song writer par excellence and avid music lover, Ankur, a self taught drummer and percussionist, Tushar, a powerhouse singer and a guitarist and Shashwat, a multi talented tabla player. They continued to rock on various music platforms in the campus for quite some time. In between, Munnu re united with his school and college time friend Ravinder (Ravee), a fountainhead of new ideas and a naturally gifted guitarist, composer and writer. Munnu, Ravee and Sumeet (who was in Delhi for an academic assignment) met up in late 2007 to compose their first song, Socha Na tha written by Nishant who uses elements like Love, Spirituality, Sufism, Devotion and certain abstract themes in his poetry. This is when they realized the power of their imagination and decided to formalize the affairs, giving a name to it being the first step. Antardhvani was born.
